KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 16): Samaiden Group Bhd has secured an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM98.15 million to develop a 39MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic system at six identified sites in Johor.

In a bourse filing on Thursday (Dec 16), the firm said its unit Samaiden Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from Ramatex Textiles Industrial Sdn Bhd for the contract.

Ramatex manufactures and distributes various types of apparel for local and overseas markets.

Samaiden said the works will tentatively start by the third quarter of 2022.

It said the project is expected to contribute positively towards its future earnings for the duration of the project.

Samaiden was last traded at RM1.15, with 294,200 shares done.
