Al-Salam REIT and Al-A’qar Healthcare REIT appoint Salehuddin Hassan as their director

KUALA LUMPUR (March 7): Al-Salam Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and Al-A'qar Healthcare REIT have appointed Johor State Treasury’s Financial Officer Datuk Salehuddin Hassan as their non-independent and non-executive directors with effect from Friday (March 4), according to their filings with Bursa Malaysia.

Salehuddin, 58, is also the treasurer of Johor Heritage Foundation.

He served as mayor of Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) from November 2019 to January 2021. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer of YPJ Holdings Sdn Bhd from December 2017 to November 2019.

Al-Salam REIT shares closed down one sen or 2% at 49 sen, translating into a market capitalisation of RM284.2 million. Al’Aqar Healthcare REIT was unchanged at RM1.12, with a market value of RM824.3 million.
