British pop star Robbie Williams and wife, Ayda Field, are no strangers when it comes to the real estate industry. Apart from his music, Williams and his wife invested about US$300 million (RM1.268 billion) purchasing some of the most glamorous properties.

Their recent purchase is the Faring Estate located in Holmby Hill, Los Angeles at a price of US$49.5 million, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The Faring Estate used to be the home of Fannie Brice, an American actress of the Hollywood Golden Age.

On a private almost two-acre land, the estate features a two-storey main house that comes with an attached and two separate guest houses. There is a circular motor court and a second gated motor court with a garage, which can accommodate 15 or more cars.

With 18,925 sq ft of living space, the house presents eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms – more than enough for the six-member family to enjoy a private sanctuary each.

The formal dining room comfortably seats 12 people, who can enjoy a scenic wallpaper of trees over water as they eat. Its kitchen also has a breakfast nook and a book-lined study with views over the ground and a comfortable family room with fireplace.

The mansion welcomes its visitors in a panelled foyer which comes with spiral staircase and inlaid hardwood floor. It leads to a spacious main living room that is airy with natural sunlight beaming through two large windows. Meanwhile, dentil mouldings line the ceiling, coupled with many artisan Old World touches to the room.

On the outdoor compound, varieties of recreational activities or just a relaxing time under the sun awaits. The facilities include a swimming pool, a pool house with its own fitness centre and a tennis court. Besides that, there is also a spacious area with a brick-paved, raised-bed garden to plant anything from flowers to edibles – great for farm-to-table supply.

To wind down the day, the family could enjoy a stroll or just sit on the benches along the long koi pond, to be soothed by the sound of tiny fountains around it.

This is not the first mansion that Williams has bought in the US. He previously owned a Beverly Hills mansion, which he had sold to Canadian rapper Drake earlier this year for US$75 million. It was reported that Williams managed to sell it for almost US$43 million above what he had paid for in 2015.
