PETALING JAYA (May 12): Property solutions company, The Makeover Guys (TMG) has collaborated with modern-home-decor brand HOOGA to introduce new styles and themes into home aesthetics.

The first-of-its-kind collaboration is marked by the official launch of the HOOGA x The Makeover Guys (HxTMG) pop-up store in Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur.

This store provides an avenue for customers to discover offerings from both brands for sprucing up their home interiors. Additionally, customers can obtain consultation services with TMG for home styling, renovation and space optimisation.

“We are really excited to announce this collaboration as it has always been our goal to bring home makeover services to all Malaysians. Through this, our brand is entering a new frontier – the mall and retail space. This makes us even more accessible to a much wider audience," said TMG CEO Gavin Liew in a media statement today.

He noted that cost, style and quality are the three factors that people are concerned about when it comes to home renovations and makeovers.

"Through this collaboration, more Malaysians can learn that TMG offers the ideal balance of all three factors when it comes to creating beautiful homes.

“Today's announcement is just the start of what we hope is a long and fruitful partnership that will see even more exciting initiatives for customers down the road," enthused Liew.

Exclusive makeover theme ideas

The HxTMG collaboration has introduced three exclusive and limited-time makeover themes for those visiting the pop-up store. Customers will get to experience these themes via a virtual tour.

“As a trailblazer in the home furnishing segment, we often receive requests from our customers for tips in styling and designing their homes. With this collaboration with TMG, we are able to offer our customers this much-requested feature through true industry experts. We are also proud to work with the TMG team to collaboratively breathe new themes, styles and pieces into life," said HOOGA chief marketing officer JP Lee.

The first theme, “Sienna Sunday”, exudes a calm, cosy, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. This theme features muted neutrals, earthy tones, rattan and Scandinavian designs. The use of muted neutrals in the overall space gives the feeling of calmness by cutting away colour noises. Different materials such as rattan and wood are included within the fabric textures to provide some depth and contrast.

The second theme, “50 Shades of Chris”, brings about a sense of comfort and sophistication. Aimed at young couples or ambitious single working adults, the interior displays a palette of earthy blues, rustic tones and dark walls that give off power and pleasure vibes. The use of natural elements such as rattan and stronger materials like metal helps create the right balance for the theme.

Meanwhile, the “Leonardo in Love” theme combines elements of the great outdoors, featuring a chic pastel palette, geometry and shapes with a hint of gold and other statement pieces. With the tagline, “An artist’s hideaway in the heart of town”, TMG has designed this space to not only nurture growth and creativity but also as a form of escape.
