PETALING JAYA (Aug 23): Johor Land Bhd (JLand) on Monday (Aug 22) unveiled a new logo and brand proposition of "Enhancing Wellbeing, Enriching Community" to signify its next phase of expansion plans in the property industry.

According to a press statement, the key focus of JLand's brand evolution is its expansion into strategic portfolios and markets, including the 7,290-acre Sedenak Technology Valley, which will see the launch of a 325-acre Discovery City pilot phase in 2023.

JLand also unveiled strategic plans for some of its flagship development projects in Johor, such as Bandar Tiram township, which will see the launch of the 28-acre Tebing @ Bandar Tiram by early 2023, as well as the re-master-planning of Bandar Dato' Onn and the rejuvenation plan for Arena Larkin.

"Bandar Dato' Onn will undergo re-master-planning to augment its proposition as a wellness destination for all lifestyles and life cycles, alongside a new development for Green Landed Residences in 2024. JLand will also spur urban rejuvenation initiatives for Arena Larkin, a 235-acre next-generation urban hub in Larkin District, including the development of Central Park's pilot phase, which is the commercial and retail hub within Arena Larkin, by 2024," said the statement.

JLand's chairman Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim said that JLand has continued to make contributions to Johor's real estate landscape in the past five decades, and it is time to raise the bar by initiating more innovative and sustainable projects, as well as by setting a benchmark that will benefit the present and future generations.

"Moving forward, we must be innovative. It's not an option. It is imperative that we must quickly and earnestly embrace and deploy proptech in our operations. In order to ensure not just JLand's sustainability for years to come, I urge you to reimagine a new Johor Land [to future-proof JLand] to ensure that JCorp (Johor Corp) via JLand will be able to further contribute to the economic development of the state while maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit that has driven JLand's success," noted Syed Mohamed, who is also the president and chief executive of JCorp — the holding company of JLand.

Meanwhile, JLand's executive director Mohd Yusof Ahmad explained that the refreshed identity and renewed proposition signify the company's commitment to evolving over time and implementing innovation that truly matters.

"For our next chapter, we will be embarking on a targeted development strategy in pursuing development projects, as well as diversifying our asset portfolio into residential, commercial and industrial real estate. Through strategic collaborations with corporate and community partners, JLand is vested to create, implement and deliver meaningful innovative solutions that encapsulate the best of digital technologies whilst embedding sustainability across the value chain," added Mohd Yusof.
