KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 30): IJM Land Bhd saw more than 85% of Phase 1 units of the IKON @ Centrio development located in the Seremban 2 township in Negeri Sembilan taken up during its launch over the weekend, according to a press statement.

Phase 1 occupies 11.3 acres and consists of 125 units with built-ups ranging from 3,537 to 7,305 sq ft, which come with an option of dual frontage. Selling prices start from RM1.28 million. IKON @ Centrio sits on 26.8 acres of land and has a gross development value of RM206.1 million with two-, two-and-a-half- and three-storey lifestyle shops.

The statement said that some of the corner units are three-storeys, which will cater for corporate offices or be used as open terraces for food and beverage services and dining. As for the end lots, they are specially designed for the al fresco dining concept.

"Towards the front of the shop, a 24 ft wide entrance will improve the product display's visibility and provide ample space utilisation. The layouts of the shops are designed to promote functionality while maximising space for business activities. The shops also come with wide glass panels to promote an abundance of natural light," it said.

The statement added that IKON @ Centrio sits in the centre of the Seremban 2 township, which will boost visibility to visitors and residents alike. The commercial development also benefits from the six-lane dual carriageway that branches out into a network of roads and is connected to the residential precincts within the township.

IKON @ Centrio is near the township's recreational parks, namely the 15-acre City Park and the 30-acre Hill Park, as well as the S2 Club, which is a community themed recreational club and sports complex that offers a wide range of activities and amenities.

The development is easily accessible via the North-South Expressway, the North–South Expressway Central Link and the Kajang-Seremban Highway. The Kuala Lumpur city centre is only less than an hour's drive from Seremban 2. A toll-free road directly connects the township to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2.
