Batu Kawan announces final dividend of 90 sen per share

• With the latest final dividend, its payout for the year amounts to RM1.10 per share.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 12): Batu Kawan Bhd announced its final single tier dividend of 90 sen per share for its financial year ended Sept 30, 2022.

The dividend’s payment date is March 2, 2023 while its entitlement date is Feb 20, 2023.

The group announced its final dividend on Friday (Dec 9) in a bourse filing.

In May, the group announced a single interim dividend of 20 sen per share. With the latest final dividend, its payout for the year amounts to RM1.10 per share.

Last month,  the group reported lower net profit of RM222.8 million in its current year quarter (4QFY2022) from RM308.04 million a year ago as manufacturing and investment holdings reported lower profits, despite increased revenue to RM7.22 billion, contributed by plantations and property development from RM6.16 billion.

The group’s net profit for its 9MFY2022 also increased to RM1.17 billion from RM1.14 billion a year ago as its plantation, manufacturing and property development segment contributed higher profit, while its revenue has also increased from RM20.71 billion to RM28.22 billion in its current year to date.
