Mega Sun City changes name to Rekatech Capital

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Mega Sun City Holdings Bhd has changed its name to Rekatech Capital Bhd, according to Bursa Malaysia’s announcement on Friday (Dec 16).

The company’s new stock short name will be quoted as “Rekatech” with effect from Dec 21, replacing old stock short name “Megasun”, Bursa said.

In an earlier Bursa filing, the company said it received the certificate on the change of name from the Companies Commission of Malaysia on Thursday.

Based on the company’s announcement on the outcome of its 18th annual general meeting held on Dec 7, all 16 shareholders voted for the change of name.

In its circular to shareholders dated Oct 31, it said that the proposed change of name will reflect the new corporate identity and image of the company.

“The exercise is also a crucial component of the company’s rebranding initiative to be carried out by its board of directors and key management of the company,” it said.

The main business segments of the company are project management services, property investment holding including letting of properties and provision of support services, and trading in building materials.
