KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 15): Tafi Industries Bhd has secured an RM11 million contract to build a theme park in Tanjong Tualang in Perak's Kinta district.

The group said the eight-month contract, awarded by TT5 Theme Assets Sdn Bhd, is expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial years ending Dec 31 2023 (FY2023) and FY2024.

Tafi Group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Bryan Wong said the earlier RM205 million construction contract from Metbuild Sdn Bhd, RM23.6 million construction contract from Lambaian Delta Sdn Bhd, and RM115 million turnkey construction contract secured from Magna Prima Bhd would further enhance the group's earnings.

Meanwhile, the group’s existing RM30 million construction contract for the Permas City project from Buana Tunggal Sdn Bhd, together with the estimated RM6 million share of the net gross development value proceeds of certain units of properties under the Permas City project, would contribute positively towards TAFI’s earnings for FY22 and FY23, said Wong in a statement.

“The group had in December 2022, completed the construction contract secured earlier from Alpha Asset Sdn Bhd at a final contract sum of RM9.16 million. The completion of the said contract had contributed positively towards TAFI’s earnings for FY22,” he added

Shares of Tafi closed 0.85% or half sen lower at 58 sen, giving the company a market value of RM221.96 million.
