KUALA LUMPUR (March 22): SkyWorld Development Bhd celebrated its first award from the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysia for its SkyAwani 2 Residences.

The project won the highly coveted Malaysia Property Awards (MPA) 2022 by FIABCI under the affordable housing category, which was conferred by TYT Tun Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, governor of Melaka to SkyWorld group’s CEO Lee Chee Seng at a ceremony held at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

The MPA by FIABCI-Malaysia is viewed as a gold standard recognition for industry players, as the federation is well-renowned for instilling exceptional standards and has been a key benchmark in Malaysia’s property industry for its recognition of projects that best embodies excellence.

Lee said SkyWorld is honoured to receive this prestigious award from FIABCI Malaysia, hoping it will be the first of many more to come. 

“Recognition of SkyAwani 2 Residences under the Affordable Housing Category serves as a testament of our commitment in delivering quality homes as we pledge to continue to prioritise and produce top notch workmanship through our “Healthy Building, Healthy Living” principle,” he said.

Lee added that apart from its affordable housing, SkyWorld will continue to focus on developing quality homes within its Signature Series, which are all well located within the city of Kuala Lumpur.

Strategically located off Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, the 2.78-acre SkyAwani 2 Residences comprises 708 residential units priced at RM300,000 with 102 commercial lots.

Completed in 2020, the project achieved a QLASSIC score of 79% and is crowned as the HIGHEST QLASSIC scorer in Malaysia under the Residensi Wilayah Category 2020 by the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB).

With a gross development value of RM266 million, SkyAwani 2 Residences offers full-fledged facilities such as an infinity swimming pool that overlooks the majestic Batu Caves and Genting Highlands, a half basketball court, barbecue pit, children’s playground, family recreational area, sky bridge that connects the two towers, sky lounge, sky garden, yoga studio, fully air-conditioned multi-purpose hall, parcel lockers, EV charging points and a four-tier security system.
