KUALA LUMPUR (April 13): AEON CO (M) Bhd (AEON) have signed a supply agreement for renewable energy (SARE) with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) and GSPARX Sdn Bhd (GSPARX) for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities. The PV facilities will be installed across all AEON and AEON BiG shopping malls nationwide.

According to a press statement on April 12, AEON deputy managing director Tsugutoshi Seko stated that AEON is committed to accelerate its sustainability initiatives with the installation of solar photovoltaic systems in its malls.

For 2023, GSPARX will install the PV solar facilities at 11 AEON Malls.

GSPARX installed the first PV facility back in October 2022 at AEON Alpha Angle, Wangsa Maju. The 1,513kWp PV solar was installed on the rooftop and the open car park at ground level.
