KUALA LUMPUR (Apr 14): Gamuda Land’s Bay Street commercial shops in Gamuda Cove have achieved a 90% take-up rate following its launch over the weekend, it said in a press statement on Thursday (April 13).
According to Gamuda Cove general manager Brandon Yong, he is confident of a full take-up rate in the next six months: “There is strong demand for commercial units that are mindfully designed to cater to the nearby residential catchment; that also has good connectivity within and beyond the township. All of which made Bay Street an enticing investment for property investors.”
Bay Street has a total of 47 units comprising two and three-storey retail shops with built-up sizes ranging from 3,300 to 7,557 sq ft with prices ranging from RM2 million to RM3.7 million. Upon its completion in 2026, the commercial shops will cater to more than 2,600 homes in Gamuda Cove.
The shops are located a 10-minute walk from Palma Sands homes and are also across the road from Maya Bay Residences. Both residential components have close to 1,500 homes and are scheduled for vacant possession in April 2023 and 2024 respectively, Gamuda said.
Bay Street is also on the tourist e-tram line, which is up and running and connects the shops to the various residential components as well as placemaking attractions such as SplashMania Waterpark and future developments.
In accordance with the green and sustainably focussed master-plan for the 1,520 acre township, Bay Street includes pedestrian-friendly walkways and bicycle lanes that encourage greener modes of transportation.
In addition, connectivity to the township will be through direct access to Cyberjaya via a new toll-free link road, Yong highlighted, which is expected to be completed in 2025. Bay Street will be only 300 metres from this new link road. This connectivity, according to the developer, will give Gamuda Cove a population catchment of 650,000 from immediate neighbourhoods within a 10-kilometer radius, and the working population of 103,000 from KLIA, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya.
There are also road upgrades to connect Gamuda Cove through Jalan Kampung Sri Cheeding to twentyfive7, Kota Kemuning to allow Gamuda Cove residents to access amenities and services at twentyfive7 and the surrounding developments for healthcare, education, retail and commercial services.
