SHAH ALAM (May 12): EcoBusiness Park V (EBP 5) signed the sale of industrial lots and factory units with 16 businesses in a ceremony held at EcoWorld Gallery @ Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam today.

The deals involved the sale of industrial lots to EB Frozen Food Sdn Bhd (seven acres) in the West Gate phase and TTL Sales & Rental Sdn Bhd (4.7 acres) in Central Gate. Also included was the sale of 21 factory units from Central Gate’s new launch. Sizes of the cluster and semidee factories range from 6,000 to 14,000 sq ft, with prices starting from RM2.2 million.

“Since its launch in 2017, EBP 5 has managed to achieve total sales of RM1.18 billion (as at Feb 28, 2017), which is a remarkable milestone. The Central Gate phase, which was introduced during the pandemic in December 2021 has managed to record an impressive sales of over RM246.16 million (as at Feb 28, 2023),” said EcoWorld Malaysia president and CEO, Datuk Chang Kim Wah at the event.

He added that the industrial properties segment was a very important one for the group – in the first four months of financial year 2023, industrial properties brought in the highest sales for EcoWorld Malaysia, recording RM616 million.

Located in Puncak Alam, EBP 5 (with a gross development of RM3 billion) is the group’s largest green business park. It is part of the Eco Grandeur township that is currently being developed via a joint-venture between EcoWorld Malaysia and the Employees Provident Fund.

EBP 5 spans 723.7 acres and comprises five phases – East Gate, West Gate, South Gate, North Gate, and Central Gate. To date, East Gate is fully completed with an occupancy rate of 85%.

The West Gate has up to 16 industrial lots ranging from three to 20 acres, while the Central Gate is made up of 37 industrial lots sized from one to six acres and 84 factories with built-ups of up to 7,016 sq ft.

Among the companies based at EBP 5 are Baosteel Malaysia, Rurutiki Sdn Bhd, SKB Shutters Manufacturing Sdn Bhd and Star Glory Asia (M) Sdn Bhd.

As for the 16 signatories today, they were: TTL Group, Everbest Group, Show Gear Pro AV, Alive Hygiene Sdn Bhd, Piping Technology Sdn Bhd, Golden Triology Sdn Bhd, Best Light City Sdn Bhd, Li Rex Sdn Bhd, Yeoh Venture Management, Ecoway Concept Sdn Bhd, Megasyn Technologies Sdn Bhd, Kakimotor.com Sdn Bhd, Jipinhe Scones MY, TRUE AIRE Technologies Sdn Bhd, PCL Global Freight, and Ecobright Group Sdn Bhd.  

Chang added that EcoWorld Malaysia is committed to making EBP 5 one of the best industrial parks in the country with “even more modern, efficient and sustainable designs offered”. Its next launch (currently being soft launched) will involve the 92-acre South Gate phase offering bigger units “with more options for customisation".
