KUALA LUMPUR (May 12): Sime Darby Property Bhd’s semi-detached villas, The Eighth in the City of Elmina township located in Shah Alam, Selangor has achieved a 70% take-up rate since its official launch in April 2023.

Comprising 168 units of semi-detached villas with a land area of 40ft by 80ft, and featuring 4+1 bedrooms and five bathrooms, The Eighth has three layouts, namely The Minimalist, with a built-up of 3,034 sq ft, The Connoisseur (3,069 sq ft) and The Classic (3,239 sq ft). It has a gross development value (GDV) of RM304.7 million, with prices starting from RM1.67 million. The project is slated for completion in March 2025.

“We are pleased by the homebuyers’ interest in The Eighth and attribute its success to our customers’ trust in the Sime Darby Property brand as well as to our five-decade history of paving the way for future living and home ownership,” said Sime Darby Property chief marketing and sales officer Datuk Lai Shu Wei in a press statement.

He further added: “We are confident that The Eighth will raise the profile of the City of Elmina township and give it a fascinating new chapter in its decorated history.”

He explains that The Minimalist features double-volume ceilings in the kitchen and dining area. For The Connoisseur, homebuyers can get a walk-in wardrobe, flexible roof terrace convertible to a rooftop garden. It is connected to the master bedroom. Meanwhile, The Classic includes a conventional open-plan living concept, a spacious family area with a multigenerational bedroom on the ground floor.

Additionally, The Eighth will have private back and side gardens, a wide porch able to fit three cars, engineered timber flooring and stone wool insulation among others.  

City of Elmina is a 5,000-acre township located in Shah Alam. It is accessible via the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Express (LATAR), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP).
