Pesona Metro bags RM242 mil construction contract

KUALA LUMPUR (May 18): Pesona Metro Bhd has bagged a construction contract worth RM242.2 million for the main building works of a mixed development project in Kuala Lumpur.

In a bourse filing, the construction outfit said its wholly-owned subsidiary Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd accepted the letter of award from KL Wellness City (H) Sdn Bhd. KL Wellness City is the property developer of the project.

The contract involves executive, performance, design, construction, completion, commission of machineries and equipment and maintenance of the main building and external works for the project.

The project has a duration of 27 months, commencing from June 1, 2023 and to be completed by Sept 30, 2025, and it expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and enhance its net assets.

Shares in Pesona Metro rose 0.5 sen or 2.78% to 18.5 sen, translating into a market capitalisation of RM129 million.
