KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): The Proptech Academy will be hosting the inaugural Building The Future ESG Conference 2023 at the AVANTE Hotel, Petaling Jaya on June 15.

With the theme of “Balancing ESG Principles with Business Goals for Sustainable Property Development”, the event will bring together industry leaders, experts, and crucial stakeholders to explore Malaysia's most recent trends, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable property development.

“The Malaysian real estate industry is in a defining moment. We need to recognise our shared responsibility towards the world’s ESG goals,” said Jason Ding, co-founder and chief marketing officer of MHub.

“The ESG guidelines should not be seen as a burdensome checklist, but rather an opportunity to be progressive. Adopt innovative solutions to unlock new possibilities for creating long-term value and positive impact,” added Ding.

MHub is a proptech scaleup that provides digital solutions for property marketing, sales, post-sales, and management while The Proptech Academy is the former's education arm that focuses on elevating the property industry with cutting-edge best practices through HRDC claimable training, seminars, conferences, and study tours.

With expert speakers from MDEC, MAVCAP, Asia GreenTech Fund, EY, KPMG, and more, the event will engage attendees with discussions and presentations covering crucial topics such as ESG as a value driver, the evolving role of technology in ESG, green lending, and operationalising ESG principles into practice.

Attendees will learn practical strategies, network with like-minded professionals, and stay ahead of regulatory changes and investor expectations. In addition, embracing sustainable practices enables developers to improve their brand reputation, attract eco-conscious buyers, and contribute to Malaysia's more resilient and future-ready property sector.

The Buiding The Future ESG Conference 2023 is supported by Huawei, MES Group / HCM Engineering, MDEC, Malaysia Proptech Association with event tech partner Evenesis and media partner EdgeProp.
