KUALA LUMPUR (June 9): S P Setia took home a double World Gold at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2023, making it the Malaysian property developer with the most wins with a total of 17 World Golds under its belt.

The international event which took place yesterday in Miami, US, saw S P Setia’s Setia Eco Templer in Rawang, bagging the top accolade in the Master Plan category while Setia V Residences, Penang also took the top spot under the Residential High Rise category.

“Being recognised by this prestigious award again this year is a testament to our continuous efforts in shaping a better tomorrow for our communities and generations to come through the homes and spaces we build,” said S P Setia president and chief executive officer Datuk Choong Kai Wai.

“With our focus on creating a greener future, we commit to being the drivers of change by transforming the way we live, integrating sustainable practices through our developments and operations, and crafting spaces that inspire, whilst being guided by our recently launched Sustainability Roadmap where we aim to achieve Net Zero by 2050,” added Choong.

Setia Eco Templer and Setia V Residences were also the winners under the Master Plan and Residential High Rise categories at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2022 in March this year.

The 194-acre Setia Eco Templer stands in the east of Rawang and north of Klang Valley, set amongst Bukit Takun, Templer Park and Waterfall Forest Park Kanching.

More than 30% of the township’s land area is dedicated to its green area which includes nine natural creeks, three gardens, lakes, and verdant green spaces.

The concept of the ‘Legend of Nine Creeks’ was coined for Setia Eco Templer as nine naturally existing creeks were preserved on the site during its development.

Standing on 1.82 acres of land along Gurney Drive, Setia V Residences is the tallest residential development in Penang. Built over a preserved heritage building which now serves as the residence management office, it consists of two towers of luxury condominiums – Tower A has 48 storeys with 106 units while Tower B is 31-storey high with 72 units. The residence has 1 acre of six-star facilities spread over 11 levels.
