KUALA LUMPUR (June 24): PropNex Malaysia recently announced the highly anticipated launch of the PropNex Monopoly Championship. This tournament comes approximately a year after PropNex introduced its own version of the popular Monopoly board game in Singapore, under a licensing agreement with Hasbro, complete with iconic landmarks and street names of Singapore.

The PropNex Monopoly Championship aims to combine experiential learning with financial literacy and property investment lessons. Players will be in the running to earn the Grand Champion title, with RM50,000 cash prize and up to RM1 million worth of additional prizes up for grabs.

PropNex Malaysia CEO, Marcus Teng, expressed his enthusiasm about the championship, which he says will test players in their decision-making about property investment, financial planning and even market dynamics. He stated: "We are excited to bring the PropNex Monopoly Championship here, which provides Malaysians with a platform to enhance their understanding of property investment.”

PropNex Singapore CEO, Ismail Gafoor, reiterates the importance of property investment education in driving growth and development in the Malaysian economy. "We firmly believe in the power of property investment education to empower individuals and contribute to the overall progress of the country. Through Monopoly PropNex Edition, we aim to educate participants and cultivate their knowledge and skills in this field,” said Gafoor.

“By learning and growing together, we foster financial prudence in a fun and engaging way. Monopoly PropNex Edition serves as a platform for enthusiasts to connect, learn, and thrive, enabling them to make informed investment decisions," he added.

The launch event of the PropNex Monopoly Championship was attended by esteemed guests, negotiators, and agency leaders, including representatives from renowned organisations such as PG Group, OSK, EdgeProp, J Group, UCSI, Property Hunter, IPO, DWI Emas, Figureline, Penny Essentials, BNC, Vanilla Crepe, and Shanghai Media.

The championship is scheduled to run from July 2023 to September 2023, and will include qualifying rounds, quarter finals, and semi finals. The highly anticipated Grand Final is scheduled to be held around October 2023, where participants will compete for the ultimate title of “Grand Champion”.
