KUALA LUMPUR (July 4): JLand Group Sdn Bhd (JLG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Johor Corporation (JCorp), has mobilised initiatives such as the anti-bribery policy, the gift & donation policy, and the conflict of interest, to demonstrate its commitment towards upholding integrity across its operations.

In a statement on Tuesday (July 4), the company said it has also implemented the whistleblowing platform, stipulated limits of authority for delegation of power and authority, and the declaration of assets.

“Procurement processes have also been strengthened with greater due diligence and the participation of staff, vendors and other stakeholders in the I-Pledge,” the group said.

The group’s top officials also signed the corruption-free pledge (ikrar bebas rasuah) on Tuesday, to reaffirm its stance on integrity and to combat corruption.

“In ensuring long-term commitment toward this emphasis, JLG will continue to deliver comprehensive education and training programmes, as well as engagement with the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC), to empower employees and stakeholders with knowledge and skills required to make ethical business decisions,” the company said.

Its integrity emphasis is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) — SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions — which promotes effective, accountable and inclusive governance at all levels.

According to JCorp’s website, the group is involved in the agricultural business via Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd, the healthcare wellness business via KPJ Healthcare Bhd (KPJ), and has an integrated food and restaurant brand via QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), while its infrastructure arm is Johor Land Bhd (JLand).
