Econpile bags RM101m job for SoHo project in KL

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 3): Piling and foundation specialist Econpile Holdings Bhd has bagged a contract worth RM101.34 million to undertake sub-structure works of three blocks of small office-home office (SoHo) here.

In a bourse filing on Monday, Econpile said its wholly-owned subsidiary Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award from Suriamega Development Sdn Bhd for the job.

The sub-structure works for three blocks of SoHo comprise two blocks of 50-storey SoHo and a block of 51-storey SoHo with podium and basement carpark floors.

Econpile said works for the project are divided into three sections with different dates of commencement where each section shall be completed within 18 months from their respective date of commencement.

“Section 1 is scheduled to commence on Oct 2, while Section 2 and Section 3 are yet to be confirmed. However, the commencement date for Section 2 shall be within six months from the commencement date of Section 1, while Section 3 shall commence within six months from the commencement date of Section 2.

“The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company from the financial year ending June 30, 2024 onwards,” it added.
