KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 1): Singapore-based property management company Bespoke Habitat has marked its foray into the Malaysian market with its co-living space in Johor Bahru.

In a media statement issued on Nov 1, the 200-room co-living space is located near Mid Valley Southkey and it is currently 80% occupied. All rooms are fully furnished and the rate ranges from RM800 to RM1,400 per month, depending on the room's location, size and the inclusion of ensuite facilities.

Some of the facilities of the co-living space are functional living areas, fully-equipped kitchens, high-speed WiFi, on-site laundry facilities, concierge customer care service and weekly cleaning service.

In the statement, Bespoke Habitat co-founder Ernee Ong said, "As a trusted solution provider in the B2B market, we understand the challenges HR (human resource) departments face when it comes to housing their colleagues. There are approximately 350,000 people commuting from Johor Bahru to Singapore for work through the Johor-Singapore Causeway, and there has to be a go-to place for them to seek convenience with better transportation and a comfortable living solution. Our expansion into Johor Bahru reaffirms our dedication to becoming the preferred choice for working professionals seeking reliable co-living solutions in Johor Bahru, Malaysia."

He adds that Bespoke Habitat will provide dedicated transportation services daily to facilitate effortless travel between Singapore and Malaysia for its residents.

Driven by a community-first approach, Bespoke Habitat has been providing flexible and affordable housing solutions in Singapore since 2019. This year, the company has seen a year-on-year revenue growth of over 250% in Singapore. It has ambitious plans to diversify into commercial real estate, including hotel developments, to further enhance its service offerings.

In addition to its current expansion into Johor Bahru, Bespoke Habitat is currently eyeing future growth opportunities in Southeast Asia, with plans to establish a presence in countries like Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, and aligning with its mission to redefine co-living experiences for professionals across the region.
