PR1MA seeks collaboration with Abu Dhabi energy company to develop sustainable homes and communities

• The intended partnership will look to develop PR1MA’s capabilities to drive the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and clean energy agendas in PR1MA developments and communities.

DUBAI (Dec 7): PR1MA Corp Malaysia (PR1MA) has submitted a proposal to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) for a collaboration to increase sustainability in PR1MA homes and communities.

The proposal outlines plans to work together “with a view to integrating cutting edge clean energy technologies into PR1MA communities and developments,” stated PR1MA in a media release.

The intended partnership will look to develop PR1MA’s capabilities to drive the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and clean energy agendas in PR1MA developments and communities.

PR1MA and Masdar may also look into developing sustainable and economically-viable smart developments and ESG projects.

The proposal was presented by Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Nazri Md Shariff, chief executive officer and member of corporation of PR1MA to Fatima Al Madhloum Al Suwaidi, Masdar president director, Indonesia. Also present at the ceremony was Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Local Government Development, and key representatives from PR1MA and Masdar.

“In developing a community that is in line with the MADANI government’s aspirations, collaborations that encourage innovations in the field of sustainability are important in order to improve the people’s health and wellness, mobility, economic development, public safety and the overall quality of life,” said Nga.

“Hence, I believe this proposed partnership between PR1MA and Masdar is a key stepping stone in making this a reality for communities across Malaysia. I look forward to the outcomes of this strategic collaboration between PR1MA and Masdar,” he added.
