PUTRAJAYA (Feb 20): The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) aims to be more progressive in delivering quality government services to the people through four main focuses this year, namely People's Well-being as KPKT's Priority, Infrastructure Enhancing People's Happiness, Sustainable Urban Planning, and Responsive Local Government.

Its minister Nga Kor Ming highlighted this during the 2024 Chinese New Year Celebration organised by KPKT and held at its premises today.

Named the Madani Muhibah Ceremony, the event featured 20 food stalls representing Malaysia's multiracial communities including Sabah and Sarawak.

Notably, a variety of bakery products developed through the Urban Community Economic Empowerment Programme (PEKB) were also presented by its participants. The programme under KPKT aims to improve the income and living standards of the B40 group in urban areas.

Hosting nearly 3,500 KPKT residents, department and agency personnel, stakeholders, strategic partners and media practitioners, the event was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Cabinet ministers, KPKT deputy minister Datuk Hajah Aiman Athirah Sabu and KPKT secretary-general Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib.
