Crockfords at Resorts World Genting secures 5-star rating for sixth straight year from Forbes Travel Guide

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 29): Crockfords at Resorts World Genting (RWG) has once again been awarded the 5-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide (FTG), marking the hotel's sixth consecutive year of being awarded the recognition, which also sets it apart as the only hotel in Malaysia to be so acknowledged by the guide.

The recognition places Crockfords, which boasts of unobstructed scenic views of the surrounding rainforest and mountainous landscape in all its 177 rooms, among an exclusive group of only 340 luxury hotels and properties worldwide given the prestigious rating, according to Resorts World Genting in a statement.

This distinction reinforces Crockfords' reputation as a provider of luxury staycations and an undisputed leader in delivering unparalleled, personalised guest experiences, it said.

Among the 1,443 properties worldwide evaluated by the FTG this year, RWG properties demonstrated their excellence, with Genting Grand emerging as a Forbes 4-Star Property and Highlands Hotel as a Forbes Recommended Property, the statement read. This marks the seventh year that these hotels have maintained their respective recognitions, it said.

FTG serves as the global benchmark for luxury verification and is the only independent global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas, according to RWG. Rigorously evaluated against 900 exacting standards by FTG’s expert inspectors, a hotel must offer an exceptional guest experience and services to qualify for a 5-star rating. The criteria include flawless attention to detail and a passion for exacting standards in personalised services, all of which Crockfords has demonstrated with service par excellence.
