KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): SkyWorld Development Bhd held a key handover ceremony for its SkyAwani 5 Residences’ homebuyers last Saturday (March 9).

According to a press release, the homeowners were presented the keys to their respective homes from minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa during the event.

With a gross development value of RM188 million, SkyAwani 5 Residence comprises 615 apartment units in a 36-storey tower on a 2.06-acre leasehold parcel in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. Each unit measures 800 sq ft and is priced at RM300,000. SkyAwani 5 Residence is the fifth instalment in SkyWorld’s affordable series of properties under the government’s Residensi Wilayah program, and the development has been fully sold since December 2020.

Zaliha said: “SkyAwani 5 Residences also made history as the first affordable home to introduce an EV charging station for the convenience of its residents. This is a revolutionary step towards creating a low-carbon city and I would like to applaud SkyWorld for leading the way.”

There are over 30 facilities at the development including a gymnasium, terrace lawn, tree house, basketball court, jogging trail, multipurpose hall, games room, co-working space, rooftop sky lounge and a sky garden.

“If you observe current development trends, most projects offering facilities like swimming pools and gymnasiums are typically found in luxury residential developments priced above RM500,000. However, SkyWorld has set a high standard in the industry by providing this added value for residents of Residensi Wilayah,” she added.

SkyWorld founder and executive chairman Datuk Seri Ng Thien Phing says the company’s commitment to quality is evident in its consistent pursuit of Qlassic (Quality Assessment System) and Shassic (Health Assessment System) assessments, as all 6,236 units of its SkyAwani series go through stringent processes and thorough inspections.

“We deliver homes that meet or surpass industry standards regardless of the price. This is a testament of our commitment to delivering high-quality homes to Malaysians. Our dedication is rooted in our brand promise of ‘You Can Now Own a Quality Home and Living’ fuelled by the company’s purpose to ‘Make Living Better’,” Ng said in the statement.

SkyAwani 5 Residences have recently been awarded an 84% Qlassic score, the highest in the country for affordable housing, as well as a 5-star Shassic rating, both from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) to serve as benchmarks for evaluating workmanship quality and safety and health aspects in construction projects.
