JOHOR BAHRU (April 3): Mah Sing Group Bhd recently completed the allocation process for its 253 public units of Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) Phase 2 in Meridin East, Johor, via balloting.

Meridin East, Phase 2 Section 1A and 1B of RMMJ comprise 316 units, with 253 units allocated to the general public and the remaining 63 units reserved for special categories such as the B40, civil servants, military personnel and OKU.  

Due to the overwhelming response and demand for affordable housing in the region, RMMJ 2 Section 1C and 1D comprising 392 units is targeted to be launched in 3Q2024. “This expansion reflects Mah Sing’s dedication to addressing the housing needs of Johoreans and contributing to the state’s development initiatives,” stated the group in a media release.

Meridin East’s RMMJ Phase 2 Section 1A and 1B comprise townhouses designed with space and practicality in mind “to provide a functional living space and flexibility to home design”. These units offer living spaces ranging from 1,001 to 1,012 sq ft and include dedicated parking spaces in front of each unit, affordably priced from RM150,000. 

Launched in 2016, Meridin East is Mah Sing’s largest integrated township, encompassing residential, commercial and light industrial development across 1,313 acres of land.

Meridin East has delivered more than 2,000 units of houses to purchasers achieving an impressive occupancy rate of approximately 70%.
