PETALING JAYA (April 5): Oriental Real Estate Sdn Bhd (ORESB) recently celebrated a major milestone by reaching half a billion ringgit in property sales value for 2023.

“This achievement marks a significant step towards our target of RM1 billion for 2024. We are grateful for our team’s dedication and our clients’ trust, which have helped us achieve this milestone. Together, we are poised to exceed our goals and deliver exceptional results in the real estate industry,” said group chairman Eddie Lee at the recently held annual dinner.

With the theme “Vibrant Vistas: Malaysia Madani Night of Unity”, attendees dressed in traditional costumes, celebrating the diversity, promoting unity, and showcasing the vibrancy of Malaysian culture.

A total of 18 awards were given away at the annual dinner. The notable ones included Top Achiever of Silver Star Award in Year 2023 won by Chim Teck Kum, Outstanding Team Leader for Year 2023 won by Simon Quah Chen Leng, and Top Branch of the Year 2023 bagged by Oriental Real Estate Ipoh Branch.

Strategies to groom high achievers

Asked how ORESB encourages its agents to be high achievers, Lee said that the agency implements strategies such as recognition programmes, training sessions, access to technology and tools, incentive programmes, regular feedback/coaching and a supportive work environment.

“By implementing these strategies, we can create an environment that encourages and supportsagents in their quest for achievement, ultimately driving success for both individual agents and the organisation as a whole,” he told EdgeProp.

According to Lee, the agency’s successful adaptation to market trends and changes can be attributed to strategic market research, advanced technology integration, diversified services, top-tier customer service, strategic partnerships and an innovative culture, ensuring sustained success in the competitive real estate market.

Access to information and knowledge

In 2023, ORESB signed a memorandum of understanding with EdgeProp, a strategic move aimed at enhancing business results in the real estate industry.

“With EdgeProp's assistance, ORESB can deepen its understanding of the real estate market and create a successful market plan as EdgeProp provides distinctive features that give users access to information and market knowledge,” he said.

Apart from the RM1 billion target for 2024, Lee highlighted that one of the major plans for this year is market expansion.

“Our agency has plans to expand its geographic footprint by entering new regions, opening new branch offices, or forming strategic partnerships with local real estate firms to tap into new growth opportunities and capture greater market share in emerging markets,” he stated.
