KUALA LUMPUR (May 13): Another tree has fallen in the city, this time on Jalan Pinang near Menara Prestige.

According to a report by The Star, the fallen tree has blocked all lanes on the road while several cars appeared to have been damaged.

The New Straits Times reported that a Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLC3) Early Response team was activated following a call at 3.30pm.  

As of press time, no casualties have been reported.

This is the second time this month a tree has fallen in the city during heavy rain, impacting motorists.

Last week (May 7), an uprooted tree fell on several cars on Jalan Sultan Ismail, killing a motorist and injuring one. According to The Star, the latest incident on Jalan Pinang occurred just 600m away.
