S P Setia draws more than 5,000 visitors at 50th anniversary celebrations

SHAH ALAM (July 29): S P Setia saw more than  5,000 visitors at the Oval Lawn, Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam on July 21 during its “Celebrating Spaces” birthday bash, marking the company’s golden jubilee.

“We are delighted to have celebrated our 50th anniversary “Celebrating Spaces” birthday bash – and brand refresh – with our loyal customers, Citizen Setia and the public, welcoming over 5,000 visitors on the day,” said S P Setia CEO Datuk Choong Kai Wai at the event.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support, as we continue to strive for excellence across all our developments and maintain our purpose to build great communities, for the last 50 years, and beyond,” he added.

The “Celebrating Spaces” event, which was hosted by Baki Zainal and Nadia Hasnan, saw a lineup of top musical talents, with rock legends Dato’ Awie and Ella, pop star Danny Koo, and Didi & friends.

“I would like to thank S P Setia for opening this show to the public and for allowing the fans to connect with us and enjoy this celebration together. It felt wonderful to entertain the fans, who brought along their friends and families as well, and to those who had been on this property journey with Setia,” said Dato’ Awie, who performed a special duet of “Baldu Biru” with Ella, among his other recognisable tunes such as “Terima kasih”.

“Nothing beats the energy from a good crowd, the fans and supporters of Setia! I feel incredibly honoured to be part of this 50th anniversary celebration with Setia, which is a huge milestone, and to feel the love from the fans who came to support us,” said Ella.

The event offered other engaging activities such as art and craft sessions at the Artisan Bazaar, property sales booths, ESG workshops, competition and delicious refreshments. The “Celebrating Spaces” event kickstarted the golden jubilee celebrations with the #SetiaQubies roadshow to continue across Klang Valley, Penang and Johor, and will be launching a “Pose With #SetiaQubies” contest, from July 26 to Aug 26, 2024.
