KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 13): City Motors Group has officially opened its 42-storey Alfa Bangsar mixed-use development located at the intersection of Jalan Maarof and Jalan Tandok in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, last Friday (Jan 10).

Alfa Bangsar, which has a gross development value of RM450 million, offers three components: 178 serviced apartment units with built-ups ranging from 570 to 997 sq ft and selling from RM1.05 million, a 25,900 sq ft commercial space, and a 220-room Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar.

In his opening address, City Motors Group chief executive officer Terence Chia said, “In the late 1960s, this very land once housed the Alfa Romeo showroom and workshop. From these humble beginnings, our founder and chairman Datuk Foo Wan Kien had a vision to reach far beyond the automotive world. His leadership and vision have led us to transform this space into a landmark, blending luxurious living, world-class hospitality and vibrant retail components.”

Alfa Bangsar is also a green building featuring several sustainable features such as a multi-rack parking system and electric vehicle charging stations. The serviced apartment units have also been designed to offer ample natural light and will be equipped with energy efficiency features.

In conjunction with the opening of the mixed-use development, the developer also officiated the opening of Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar last Friday. The hotel will be managed and operated by Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) Hotels & Resorts.

Some facilities in the hotel include five meeting rooms, a grand podium ballroom with a capacity of up to 600 guests, an open lobby lounge designed for co-working and social interaction, Clover All-Day Restaurant for dining, an outdoor pool, and a 24-hour fitness centre.
