PETALING JAYA (May 5): MN Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Mutu Nusantara Sdn Bhd, together with Protech Builders Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM49.99-million contract for a data centre project in Peninsular Malaysia.

In a bourse filing, the joint venture said it accepted the letter of award from Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd on May 2. The scope of work covers mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) fit-out for a data centre located in the central region of the peninsula. The exact site was unnamed.

The project is scheduled to begin on July 1, with completion expected by August 24, 2026.

According to MN Holdings, the contract involves construction, testing, and commissioning of owner-furnished equipment, along with associated power and control cabling.

It also includes a 12-month warranty period starting from the date of substantial completion. Any repair works will be additionally covered for up to two years.

The company said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its future earnings and net assets, and it will not affect its share capital or major shareholders’ equity.
