KUALA LUMPUR (May 19): TCS Group Holdings Bhd (KL:TCS) said it has secured a RM216.9 million contract to undertake the construction of two 48-storey serviced apartment blocks in Subang Jaya.

The contract was awarded to its unit TCS Construction Sdn Bhd by Bandar Raya Developments Bhd (BRDB), TCS Group said in a bourse filing on Monday.

The construction is expected to span 35 months, the group added.

“We are pleased to have secured yet another project from BRDB,” said TCS Group managing director Datuk Tee Chai Seng in a statement, adding that the continued partnership reflects the group’s proven track record in delivering high-quality projects with good workmanship and timely completion.

Looking ahead, Tee said the group remains optimistic about the market outlook for the construction industry, as it continues to see emerging opportunities across both Peninsular and East Malaysia.

TCS Group’s shares closed half a sen or 3.2% lower at 15 sen on Monday, giving the ACE Market-listed building and infrastructure construction company a market capitalisation of RM90.1 million.
