KUALA LUMPUR (May 20): Eversendai Corp Bhd (KL:SENDAI) has won RM1.3 billion in new contracts for projects in the United Arab Emirates, India and Singapore, including a major renewable energy infrastructure job in Germany through a subcontract.

The new wins raise Eversendai’s total outstanding order book to RM6.6 billion, said the structural steel expert in a statement.

In the United Arab Emirates, Eversendai Offshore secured a project from Spain’s Dragados Offshore SAU to fabricate structural steel for offshore converter topside blocks for the LanWin2, BalWin3 and LanWin4 offshore grid connection projects in Germany.

These grid connection systems are part of TenneT’s 2GW programme, which aims to double current offshore transmission capacity and support the transition to green energy in Germany, the Netherlands and Europe.

Fabrication will take place at Eversendai’s Ras Al Khaimah facility, with phased delivery of the blocks for the three converter stations scheduled by December 2027.

Eversendai previously worked with TenneT by executing offshore wind jacket projects for 700MW offshore wind converter stations between 2019 and 2021.

In India, the group will be involved in the Chennai International Airport Phase II modernisation project, with structural steel works supporting an additional 1.2 million sq ft of terminal space.

The scope includes critical elements such as roofing, façades and large-span structures, designed for seismic resilience and climatic sustainability.

Meanwhile, Eversendai in Singapore will undertake steel structural works for the New Science Centre, a facility aimed at promoting scientific innovation and learning.

All three projects include engineering, connection design, shop drawings, material supply, fabrication, delivery and erection of steel structures.

Shares of Eversendai traded unchanged at 52 sen at Tuesday's noon market break, giving it a market capitalisation of RM406.2 million.
