• The bank’s package for MM2H participants includes preferential rates, fixed-rate unit-trust charges, automatic Maybank Premier status, and holistic financial advisory services.

KUALA LUMPUR (May 20): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) as a banking partner for the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme. Through Maybank Premier, the bank’s wealth management arm, it will offer financial solutions tailored to successful MM2H applicants in support of the government’s effort to attract long-term foreign residents.

In a press statement on Tuesday, Maybank president and group chief executive officer Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli (pictured) said, “This strategic collaboration underscores Maybank’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s economic ambitions by positioning the country as a premier destination for global investors and long-term residents. As a banking partner for MM2H, we are proud to offer a holistic financial ecosystem that not only meets the sophisticated needs of international clients, but also reinforces Malaysia’s appeal as a vibrant, forward-looking nation”.

Maybank and Motac launched the partnership with a roadshow at MSpace@Maybank Tower in Singapore, themed “MM2H—Your Gateway to Malaysia”, drawing interest from high-net-worth individuals and global investors.

MM2H offers renewable visas of five- to 20 years, and now includes tiered categories—silver, gold and platinum—with additional benefits for those investing in Malaysia’s special economic zones and special financial zones. The bank’s package for MM2H participants includes preferential rates, fixed-rate unit-trust charges, automatic Maybank Premier status, and holistic financial advisory services.

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said, “The Malaysia My Second Home programme is a key driver for our tourism and investment sectors, and we welcome the support of leading financial institutions, such as Maybank, in helping us promote this initiative to regional investors”.

Maybank and Motac plan to hold further MM2H-focused roadshows across regional markets.
