Topping-off milestone at Sunway d’hill Residences, grocer Mercato set to anchor retail component

• Sunway d’hill Residences, launched in 2022, has achieved a 70% take-up rate for its 976 apartment units.

KUALA LUMPUR (May 23): Sunway PKNS Sdn Bhd has celebrated the topping-off of both 45-storey towers at Sunway d’hill Residences, with grocer Mercato confirmed as anchor tenant for the development’s retail component.

The event at the Section 10 site in Kota Damansara was officiated by Kota Damansara state assemblyman Muhammad Izuan Ahmad Kasim.

Also present were Sunway Property managing director Chung Soo Kiong, PKNS group chief executive officer Datuk Mahmud Abbas, and Tuju Setia Bhd (KL:TJSETIA) managing director Wee Eng Kong.

Construction progress reached 85% as of April 2025, placing the RM640 million project on schedule for completion in the second quarter of 2026.

Sunway Property chief operating officer Adly Sham said in a statement, “This milestone is more than just reaching the top. It’s a reflection of how far we’ve come in bringing a thoughtfully designed community to life”.

Sunway Property is the property arm of Sunway Bhd (KL:SUNWAY).

Mahmud said, “Sunway Property has long been our number one joint venture partner... this partnership allows us to deliver projects that create real, lasting benefits for the people of Selangor”.

The development, launched in 2022, has achieved a 70% take-up rate for its 976 apartment units.

The 6.46-acre site is located 100 metres from the Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve, and offers units priced from RM598,000, with sizes between 829 sq ft and 1,238 sq ft.

Amenities include an Olympic-length pool, forest-themed playscapes, co-working lounges, a yoga studio, and a free shuttle service to nearby Sunway developments and MRT stations.

Mercato will occupy 20,000 sq ft of retail space, under a lease with GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, providing curated grocery offerings and daily essentials.
