KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): Construction outfit Taghill Holdings Bhd (KL:TAGHILL) has announced the resignation of its CEO and executive director, Ng Wai Hoe, effective immediately.
Ng stepped down “due to [a] personal matter”, the company said in a bourse filing on Tuesday.
He was first appointed to Taghill’s board in December 2020 as managing director. In September 2024, he was redesignated to CEO cum executive director.
Besides his over four years on Taghill’s board, Ng is also a substantial shareholder of the company with a 6.7% stake, 4.09% of which is held via his vehicle Makmur Baru Holdings Bhd.
In Ng’s stead, Taghill has promoted the group project director and executive director of wholly owned Taghill Projects Sdn Bhd, Yap Kek Siung, as its new executive director.
Meanwhile, Taghill also announced the resignation of Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately.
Shahril, a former managing director of Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and CEO of MRT Corp Sdn Bhd, stepped down “due to his personal commitment”.
The company named former Advancecon Holdings Bhd (KL:ADVCON) executive director and group chief financial officer Tan Chee Keong as a new independent non-executive director.
Shares in Taghill ended half a sen or 6.67% lower at seven sen, valuing the company at RM102.12 million.
