KUALA LUMPUR (June 10): Kumpulan Kitacon Bhd (KL:KITACON) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Kitacon Sdn Bhd, has secured a main building works contract from GLM Emerald West (Rawang) Sdn Bhd, valued at RM87.88 million.
The contract encompasses main building works, including external, ancillary and infrastructure works, for 106 bungalow units in Rawang, Selangor.
Scheduled to commence on June 13, the project is expected to be completed within 25 months from the start date, according to its bourse filing on Tuesday.
Kitacon stated that the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, and onwards until its expiry.

At Tuesday’s midday break, Kitacon shares were down 1.5 sen or 2% at 72.5 sen, valuing the group at RM362.75 million. Year-to-date, the stock has fallen 3.3%.
