PETALING JAYA (June 20): Oriental Kopi Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd, plans to buy a piece of leasehold land with a factory lot in Puchong, Selangor, for RM23 million.

According to its exchange filing, the company is currently using the site as its head office and warehouse.

The land, measuring about 5,260 sq m, is located at Jalan TPP 3, Taman Perindustrian Putra. It comes with an existing factory unit.

The seller, Icon Facade Sdn Bhd, is involved in the aluminium and glass supply business for construction projects. The company is privately owned by two shareholders.

The kopitiam chain operator decided that owning the property would help reduce rental and logistics costs in the long run. The purchase would also ensure the company can continue using the site without the risk of losing access to the space in the future.

The payment will be made in stages, starting with a 10% deposit. The remaining balance is expected to be settled within three months after both parties sign the sale and purchase agreement (SPA), which is expected to be completed on or within 21 days from June 2, 2026, or at a later date if mutually agreed.

Further details on the deal including the full terms of the SPA, the reasons for the transaction, and any possible risks will be shared once the SPA is officially signed.

The purchase will be funded through a mix of the company’s internal funds and bank borrowings.
