KUALA LUMPUR (June 23): LBS Bina Group Bhd (KL:LBS) has launched Centrum Iris, the second phase of its Cameron Centrum township, marking it as the largest mixed commercial development in Cameron Highlands with a gross development value of RM472 million.

The unveiling of Centrum Iris establishes a new benchmark for integrated highland living in Malaysia. It will include 705 residential units ranging from 595 to 1,370 sq ft, starting from RM476,000, and 26 commercial units between 615 and 2,944 sq ft, priced from RM676,000.

Strategically located in Brinchang’s commercial district, the development combines modern design with English-inspired architecture.

Centrum Iris is the first project in Cameron Highlands to be awarded the Silver GreenRE Certification, reflecting its environmentally responsible design that includes electric vehicle charging bays and 47 lifestyle-focused facilities. A rooftop cafe and restaurant with highland views also features within the development, aimed at promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The project builds on the success of Precinct 1, completed in 2021, which comprises 58 shopoffice units and is now 95% occupied by brands across food and beverage, banking, healthcare and daily essentials sectors.

LBS signed a memorandum of understanding with short-term rental operators MyKey International and Dreamscape Hospitality Group during the launch.

“Our collaboration with MyKey and Dreamscape enables us to expand Centrum Iris’ appeal beyond traditional homeownership, tapping into the short-term rental market in Malaysia’s tourism hotspots,” said LBS executive director Datuk Seri Daniel Lim.

Also present at the launch were LBS executive director Datuk Cynthia Lim and deputy chief executive officer Lucas Lim.
