PETALING JAYA (July 4): Sime Darby Property Bhd’s latest project, Elmina Ridge 2 in the City of Elmina, saw 90% of its Phase 1 units booked during its weekend soft launch.
Its chief operating officer—township development Appollo Leong said the project benefits from the maturity of the township in Shah Alam, Selangor.
“The City of Elmina has reached a level of maturity where commercial amenities and lifestyle-centric features are widely available. The Elmina Lakeside Mall and Central Park are abuzz with activities and events all year-round, offering our community a vibrant and lively environment,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
Leong explained that Sime Darby Property’s curated placemaking strategy, coupled with its continuous innovations to elevate its home designs, has contributed to the strong interest in properties like Elmina Ridge 2.
“Today’s buyers seek more than just space; they want quality, energy efficiency, a sense of community that befits their identity and long-term value by a reputable developer,” he stated.
Totalling 221 units on freehold land, Elmina Ridge 2 carries a gross development value of RM339 million and is scheduled for completion in 2028. It comprises superlink (24ft by 70ft), cluster (36ft by 70ft), and semi-detached homes (40ft by 80ft) with built-ups from 2,274 to 3,288 sq ft, with starting prices from RM1.21 million, RM1.76 million, and RM2.22 million, respectively.

Each home comes equipped with solar panels, a battery energy storage system, electric-vehicle charging infrastructure and glass mineral wool roof insulation, as well as digital locksets for the main door.
The precinct has a low density of 7.7 units per acre and includes 10 acres of green spaces. In addition, residents will be near the township’s 300-acre Central Park and the 2,700-acre Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve, and have quick access to established areas like Denai Alam and Bukit Subang, said the statement.
The project is connected via the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) through the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), plus an upcoming direct link to the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH). Commercial hubs include the e-Boulevard, Temu and Jumpa and the planned Education Hub..
