KUALA LUMPUR (July 7): Hyatt Regency, a global hospitality brand, announced the unveiling of Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown, a five star hotel in Mont Kiara, which is to open its doors on Aug 26 this year.
In a statement on July 1, Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown general manager Till Martin said, “As a vibrant destination where business meets leisure, Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown is poised to redefine the hospitality experience in Kuala Lumpur by elevating KL Midtown as Malaysia’s premier convention and lifestyle hub.”
Located at 7 Jalan Dutamas 2 in KL Midtown, the hotel is located directly opposite Mitec and near Matrade. It will feature a total of 410 accommodations, where 306 are hotel rooms with sizes starting from 42 sq m and the remaining 104 to be serviced residences, to accommodate both short and extended stays. The fully serviced residences include one- or two-bedroom apartments which feature a private lobby entrance, dedicated guest drop-off area and driveway. Each unit comes with a kitchenette, a full-size refrigerator, along with separate dining and living areas.

Restaurants will cater to various tastes from Japanese to northern Chinese flavours. On the 5th floor there will be a poolside bar for light bites and drinks. There is also a Core Fitness Centre, fully equipped with machines and training equipment. On the 32nd floor, there is an infinity pool with a lounge for residents and a vibrant Kidz Club, ideal for families.
The hotel was designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, known for his ability to seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
