PETALING JAYA (July 10): Property developer Tropicana Corporation Bhd has once again joined hands with Australian-owned supplement brand VitaHealth Malaysia to host the longest offline wellness series in Malaysia this year, targeting a total of 1,200 participants over a series of events.

First launched in 2024 by VitaHealth and Tropicana, OFFLINE 16 encourages Malaysians to unplug from digital devices and reconnect through real‑world activities.

Unlike last year’s single 16‑hour record‑breaking event, the second instalment has evolved into multiple themed gatherings highlighting different aspects of mindfulness and wellness. The series began in May with a Pickleball Challenge in Penang, drawing 200 participants, followed by a Nature’s Retreat at Forest Research Institute Malaysia in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, and a beach clean-up in Sabah last month, adding another 300, stated Tropicana in a press release on Monday.

The flagship finale on Aug 16 at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort in Petaling Jaya, Selangor will feature pickleball sessions with Olympian Pearly Tan and Malaysia’s top player Colin Wong, live jazz music, a sunset walk, wellness workshops, mental wellness games, and DIY crafts.

Participants will receive goodies worth over RM300 and stand a chance to win RM15,000 in lucky draw prizes. A final rest‑and‑recharge resort retreat is also planned for October.

Tropicana managing director, marketing & sales and business development Ixora Ang said the initiative fits the group’s mission of building sustainable, liveable townships that go beyond physical development.

“OFFLINE 16 shows how this vision goes beyond buildings; it’s about giving everyone a chance to unplug, reconnect, and care for their wellbeing together,” she said.

The statement also added that OFFLINE 16 aims to make preventive mental wellness simple, practical and accessible by encouraging more Malaysians to step away from screens and build healthier habits offline.
