KUALA LUMPUR (July 30): S P Setia Bhd conducted a ground breaking ceremony for its flagship development, Setia Garden Residences in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on July 26.
The development is strategically situated at its township of EcoXuan, in the urban area of Bình Dương Province.
Setia Gardens Residences, set for completion in 2027, is designed to be a new landmark in the Northern corridor of Ho Chi Minh City. With a GDV of US$81 million (RM343 million), Setia Gardens Residences is situated on the Binh Duong Boulevard, which is a major arterial road connecting Ho Chi Minh City with neighbouring provinces.
This prime location along National Highway 13 ensures connectivity to the city’s central business district. Residents will be close to lifestyle and healthcare amenities such as AEON Mall, Lotte Mart, Song Be Golf Course, and Becamex International Hospital, all within a 10-minute drive radius.
Comprising three towers ranging from 27 to 28 floors, Setia Gardens Residences will offer 865 apartments and shophouses. The apartment types range from studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units.
“Setia is committed to being a leader in building sustainable communities and enriching lifestyles, not just in Malaysia but globally, especially in strengthening our presence in Vietnam,” said Setia president and CEO Datuk Choong Kai Wai at the event.
"Our progress in Setia Garden Residences in EcoXuan reflects Setia’s commitment to leveraging strategic advantages while affirming the development's strong legal foundation, following the administrative merger of Binh Duong into Ho Chi Minh City,” he added.
The ceremony was also witnessed by Firdauz Othman, Consul General of Malaysia; Zaimah Osman, trade commissioner of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE); Trương Công Thạch, leader of Lai Thieu Ward; and Datuk Zaini Yusoff, chief operating officer of S P Setia Bhd; Nguyen Hai Ho, chairman; and Tran Tu Thanh, chief executive officer of Phuoc Thanh Construction Corporation.
