Sheraton debuts in Johor Bahru with 345-room hotel

JOHOR BAHRU (Oct 3): Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Johor Bahru, a 345-room hotel called Sheraton Johor Bahru, marking the brand’s latest expansion in Malaysia.

Located near the Singapore–Johor Bahru Causeway, the hotel is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio and introduces Sheraton’s new global design approach centred on community, productivity and comfort.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Sheraton Johor Bahru, a place where travellers and locals can connect, relax, and experience the warmth of our city,” said general manager Vikas Malik in a press statement on Friday. 

Guest facilities include family suites with oceanic-themed décor, soundproof work booths in the lobby, and the Sheraton Club lounge, available to Club-level and Marriott Bonvoy Elite members.

The hotel also features four dining outlets, namely Daily Social, &More by Sheraton, Soo Noodles, and Unspoken Bar.

Sheraton Johor Bahru offers 2,295 sq m of event space across eight venues, including a ballroom with capacity for 1,400 guests.

Leisure amenities include a fitness centre, outdoor pool, and what the hotel claims is Johor Bahru’s largest children’s pool, with direct access to SKS City Mall.
