SEREMBAN (Oct 8): Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (KL:MATRIX) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with logistics company Golog Holdings Sdn Bhd (Golog) to jointly develop the China-Malaysia Air Silk Road Dual Hub Industrial Park in MVV TechValley at Negeri Sembilan.

The 618-acre industrial park will be developed in three phases and has a gross development value (GDV) of RM8 billion. The partnership should be formalised within about six months of the MOU signing and construction is expected to begin within 24 months later.

The first phase will see the development of a 106-acre logistics hub. Golog will deploy its AI- and IoT-powered platforms to safeguard temperature-sensitive goods, provide real-time tracking and enable businesses to participate in global trade.

The MOU follows Golog’s recent strategic cooperation agreements with China Henan Aviation Group Co Ltd that were signed on Sept 18 to strengthen industrial park development and enhance air cargo capacity between China and Malaysia.

Under this cooperation, China Henan Aviation Group, Sichuan Huashi Group Corporation Limited and Golog will jointly advance the China-Malaysia Air Silk Road Dual Hub Industrial Park.

In the MOU signing ceremony with Golog on Wednesday (Oct 8), Matrix Concepts group executive director Kelvin Lee said Golog’s entry will not only enhance the logistics capability of MVV TechValley but also “elevate the entire development as a destination for innovation, high-value industries and global connectivity.”

“This partnership is a powerful example of how international collaboration can complement local vision. It brings together the strengths of multiple nations and it places Negeri Sembilan —through MVV TechValley—firmly on the regional logistics map,” said Lee.

The 1,000-acre MVV TechValley is part of the 2,382-acre MVV City Phase 1 township, which in turn is a component of the larger-scale 379,087-acre Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) public-private partnership economic development conurbation, which covers the areas of Seremban, Nilai and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan.

With a GDV of RM15 billion and a 12-year development period, Matrix Concepts will be jointly developing MVV City Phase 1 with the Negeri Sembilan state government (NS Corp), with the developer holding an 85% stake in the development and leading the development.
