Edward Yeoh’s journey in real estate began just two years ago, with his very first sale on February 13, 2023. That initial RM1.7 million subsale case became a pivotal turning point, convincing him that real estate was the career he wanted to pursue for the long term. Since then, his progress has been nothing short of remarkable.
In his first nine months, he achieved RM300,000 in personal sales, which skyrocketed to an impressive RM2.1 million in 2024. He has also successfully grown his direct team from just two to 30 members, a rewarding but challenging feat in such a short time.
Success isn’t about big words or grand principles, but about a simple, foundational habit.
Yeoh’s biggest breakthrough moment was reassessing his target segment, a strategic move inspired by his direct leader. He chose to focus on executing his business plan, continuously changing direction until he found a path that aligned with his own pace and approach.
This adaptability is key to his rapid success.“I guess maintaining a good learning spirit,” he said. “Keeping on learning is the habit that helps because after all, I am still a baby in the industry.”
In a competitive market, he has cultivated a niche within the luxury property segment in the KLCC area, a direction he credits to his company’s clear vision. He also attributes his high performance to the strong support of his wife, believing a happy home life allows him to focus on his work.
When asked about his most challenging year, Yeoh shares a perspective unique to a newcomer. Rather than pointing to a specific year, he explains that every day is a challenge. He believes that by consistently trying his best to improve, he can avoid ever having to “bounce back.”
His advice for younger agents is straightforward and bold, reflecting his own proactive mindset.
“Don’t ask, just come in and make it back!” he advises. “As there is a Chinese saying, ‘thinking is always a question, doing it is a solution!’ So just come in and rock the boat!”
While his definition of success has changed since hitting RM1 million, his focus remains on action and results. His legacy will be to inspire others to take the leap, proving that with the right mindset and a willingness to learn, a new agent can rapidly become a top performer.
