KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 29): IJM Corp Bhd (KL:IJM) has bagged a RM873.9 million contract for the mechanical and electrical (M&E) fit-out works of a hyperscale data centre at the Elmina Business Park, Selangor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IJM said the contract was awarded by Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Raiden APAC Pte Ltd, to its wholly-owned unit IJM Construction Sdn Bhd.
The project covers fit-out works for one data hall, including the supply and installation of mechanical, electrical, security and telecommunication systems, as well as the coordination, testing and commissioning of all systems, services and equipment. It also includes the provision of office furniture and equipment.
The build-only contract is slated to commence in the third quarter of 2026, with completion targeted in the first quarter of 2028. IJM said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future revenue and earnings.

This latest win follows a RM1.26 billion contract awarded last week by Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) to IJM Construction for the main building works of a hyperscale data centre, also at the Elmina Business Park. That project is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2025 and be completed by the second quarter of 2027.
The construction division accounted for 54.6% of IJM’s revenue for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025 (1QFY2026).
As at end-June, the division had an order book of RM12.9 billion, with major projects including a large-scale data centre in Johor and the New Pantai Expressway Extension (NPE 2).
Shares of IJM rose one sen or 0.38% to close at RM2.64 on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM9.7 billion.
