IJM Land launches REN Wellness Retreat; signs MOA with Beijing university

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): REN Wellness Retreat, a traditional and complementary medicine (T&CM) health destination developed by IJM Land Bhd, marked its soft launch with a ribbon-cutting and signing ceremony officiated by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing on Wednesday (Oct 29).

According to a press release on Wednesday, the event was attended by key IJM leadership and partners, including IJM Land chairman Datuk Lee Teck Yuen, IJM Corp Bhd (KL:IJM) group chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Lee Chun Fai, independent non-executive directors Tan Ting Min and Fatimah Merican, group chief financial officer Datuk Edward Chong Sin Kiat, IJM Land CEO Datuk Tony Ling Thou Lung, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) vice-president Professor Liu Cunzhi.

A central highlight of the launch was the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between REN Wellness Retreat and BUCM for a collaboration to facilitate academic exchange, professional training, and research development, positioning the retreat as a regional hub for T&CM expertise.

Ling said: “REN Wellness Retreat’s T&CM Centre marks the convergence of ancient wisdom and modern science. Our collaboration with BUCM brings authenticity, research depth, and international credibility to Malaysia’s wellness landscape”.

REN Wellness Retreat offers a range of facilities including a traditional and Chinese medicine centre, nursing care services, a rehabilitation centre, psychology and counselling services, health and fitness amenities, REN Resort, and culinary nourishment establishments.

Located beside Subang Ria Lake and within walking distance of Subang Jaya Medical Centre, the retreat is positioned to serve both local and international visitors.
