Mohd Haris B Mohd Sharif's career in real estate is a testament to the power of a modern approach combined with timeless values. He was motivated by the industry's potential for rapid personal growth, the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and the chance to sharpen his skills. He started his journey by embracing a mindset of "learning, doing, failing, and trying again." He believes that while social media helps, it is genuine connections and professional service that truly build lasting trust with clients. He is a strong advocate for more Gen Z professionals in the field, as he believes the role is about building impact and trust, not just sales.
To build consistent performance, Haris relies on a set of disciplined routines. He believes in meticulously planning his moves, maintaining daily follow-ups, and staying consistently active on social media platforms.
A high-energy online presence is key to staying top-of-mind for clients.
“Always Plan my moves,Daily follow-ups, even if it’s just 1 or 2 leads to keep the momentum,” he said. “I do Post. Post. Post and Stay loud on the main platforms. Stick with people who hype you up & never skip growth mode.”
One of his proudest moments in 2024 was a testament to his efficiency: he successfully closed a subsale deal in just three days. This transaction proved the power of his online presence and proactive approach. A second, equally meaningful, moment was helping a young couple buy their first home. The sincere "thank you" he received from them resonated deeply, reminding him that his work is about more than just transactions, it's about making a tangible difference in people's lives.
“Closed a subsale deal in just 3 days. That’s the power of showing up on main platforms,” he shared. “Helped a young couple buy their first home and the way they said 'thank you' still hits me till today.”
In his journey this year, Haris faced a tough challenge with lead generation at the start. However, he overcame this by focusing on continuous improvement. He consistently worked to improve his advertising, showed up for site visits, and maintained a positive mindset. He firmly believes that success is all about the right attitude and a commitment to leveling up from every mistake.
“Getting leads at the start of the year was tough,” he explained. “But I kept improving my ads & showed up for site visits. I choose to stay consistent, learn from mistakes & keep levelling up. It’s all mindset.”
For agents aiming to break through their first RM200,000, his counsel is straightforward: stop waiting for perfection and start grinding. He emphasizes the need to be proactive with calls, viewings, and closings, treating the entire process as a cycle of continuous learning. For Mohd Haris, success is found in the daily grind, and he encourages aspiring agents to find a strong mentor who can keep them on track and provide the guidance needed to level up.
