KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 27): International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 has been launched as a flagship national platform to advance sustainability implementation in the built environment, with regional participation and cross-market collaboration.

Jointly organised by GreenRE Sdn Bhd and Qube Integrated Malaysia, ISW 2026 will be held on Sept 10 and 11 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), according to a press release on Tuesday.

The agreement was signed by GreenRE chairman Datuk Seri FD Iskandar and Qube Integrated Malaysia executive chairman Richard Teo.

Designed to support measurable progress towards Malaysia’s net-zero emissions goal by 2050, ISW 2026 will focus on implementation, performance measurement and readiness across the industry.

Participants will include policymakers, developers, builders, architects, engineers, planners, city authorities and technology providers.

Themed “From Certification to Transformation: Building a Net Zero Future Together”, the platform aims to link standards and certification with real-world project delivery.

ISW 2026 will feature two integrated components: the International Green Build Conference (IGBC) and GreenScape: International Green Innovation Exhibition.

IGBC will serve as a strategic forum for regulators, city authorities and professionals to address ESG alignment and the challenges of applying green standards in practice.

GreenScape will showcase certified and certification-ready technologies and solutions, reflecting the sector’s readiness to operationalise sustainability.

“The future of sustainability is performance—measurable outcomes that can be benchmarked, verified, and repeated at scale,” said Iskandar.

“ISW 2026 is designed as a platform for knowledge sharing, high-level networking, and deal-enabling engagement—accelerating practical, investable sustainability outcomes for the built environment.”

Teo said: “There is strong commitment to sustainability across government and industry, but delivery remains the real challenge.

“International Sustainability Week is designed to bring the right people together to focus on how sustainability is implemented in practice—in buildings, developments and cities.”

Through focused discussions, deployable solution showcases and cross-sector collaboration, ISW 2026 aims to connect policy intent with practical execution.
